Does anyone care about the Lamborghini Centenario?

Does anyone care about the Lamborghini Centenario?

Disclaimer: I have never been blown away by limited edition Lambos. The underpinnings are technically wonderful but to me, the styling is just garish. I just don’t get it – and whilst Lambo’s are meant to be preposterous and silly, these models tend to be preposterous and stupid.

Sesto Elmento, which is kind of cool, and the Veneno have got people’s attention. They at least sparked conversation and debate around “if I had the money’. I recently watched a car spotters video of a Centenario coming out the Lambo Factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese in Italy, and I can’t help wondering if anyone actually gives a shit about this car?

While the shadow cast by the Chiron way back at Geneva was vast, is this the best they could do? It looks like the kind of car you’d see on a video game, where they didn’t have the license to use actual cars so they got a team of snot-nosed racers to design a street racer. Honestly, it looks like those cars that have stickers over the front headlights to give them a different shape.

That’s it – the Centenario looks like a B-grade video game racer with stickers on the headlights to change the shape. These are businesses, I get that, but what about Italian soul and style? A tractor would have been more exciting and maybe useful to go back to their roots and help them to remember why they started doing this.

Couldn’t agree with you more. That car is just stupid. Looks like something built in someone’s back yard.
