Today, however, there is a myriad of choices out there. Well, that is if your pockets are deep enough. We have super light, minimalistic options like the Arial Atom, lean Swedish witchcraft engineering in the form of the Koenigsegg One:1 and brute, yet luxurious options like the Bugatti Chiron and don’t even get us started on the electric wizardry from the holy trinity.
To get the car to it’s predicated 270mph (435km/h) top speed, you have to engage what they like to call, “Predator Mode” – Enough said!
OK, I don’t mean that literally, but the gents at Autocar UK have done the world a favour by rounding up (potentially, stupid Ferrari) the world’s greatest hypercars, the McLaren P1, the Porsche 918 Spyder and the LaFerrari for a bit of a race. Although, Ferrari didn’t want to partake in this even, they had to find a suitable replacement. One, in which, we thought would get absolutely HAMMERED. They brought in Ferrari’s super fast, super lightweight 200bhp, two wheeled cousin. The Ducati 1199 Superleggera.
Turn up the sound, in fact get a pair of headphones and the turn it up, the “WHOOOOOSHING” of the dump valves and that beautiful V8 make for a spin tingling soundtrack.
